Seattle real estate is actually a lot busier than you may have heard on the TV or read in the newspaper - buyers are out there!  The problem is that many of the buyers out there are not qualified to buy so the pool of Seattle buyers is smaller. This has been compounded with recent banking events.

 

The one thing I keep hearing is that buyers are looking for REO properties by signing up with various paid website - free or not  - to get "updated" foreclosure listings. The majority of these are outdated or inaccurate.  If you are a traditional buyer and you need to get a loan for a property you purchase, then just hire a Realtor to find the REO or short sale houses for you because they are all in the MLS.  The ones that are not in the MLS are the houses that you can buy at auction for cash.
