Tax credit deadline for finding a home sneaking up. If you otherwise qualify, then you must have the house under contract by April 30th. This means you and the seller must have a signed around contract - not just an offer.
I can see there being some last minute signings and anticipate that the NWMLS stats might reflect an unusually high bump for status changes to PENDING on "4/30/2010" - hopefully all of those will be truly signed on 4/30 and not just back dated, but it seems like where there is a credit, there is an open door for trying to cheat unfortunately. (my own two cents)
There are some great options if you are looking for just about any price range right now. Even the hot $300k and under market has opened up to the point that there are choices and not multiple offers around every corner. Molly has been touring quite a bit of those lately so she can have the inventory fresh in her head when calls come in. She can weed out the best homes and town homes for you in Seattle pretty easily. If you are looking in a different area, let us know because we have agents that specialize in all different Seattle neighborhoods and suburb and are happy to help you meet the tax credit deadline if you qualify. realestate@cooperjacobs.com
